Laura and Sam’s civil ceremony and wedding breakfast was held in a beautiful, historic Georgian house which forms part of the Holiday Inn, Milton Keynes. Located in rural Newport Pagnell, yet just off the M1, this is an ideal destination for those guests who are travelling by car and want to make use of the motorway network.
Silverlinings wedding fair
After meeting Sam at the Silverlinings wedding fair in The Guildhall, Northampton and having a chat about photography and his wedding (although I’m pretty sure it was more about photography!) I knew that this was going to be a wedding to look forward to. We set up a meeting and the minute I met Laura I could see how these two people had ended up together. Five minutes into our first meeting, I felt as if I had known them both forever! Laura and Sam made me feel so comfortable and welcome, and were keen to hear, and take on board, little suggestions I offered for their wedding.
The Georgian House
Holiday Inn, Milton Keynes
The morning of their wedding, as I drove over to Laura, the weather seemed to smile down on them – giving us the first day of spring. I was welcomed with a cup of tea and the lovely family kitten who seemed to be unfussed by all the commotion a wedding morning brings. The civil marriage ceremony was conducted beautifully the Holiday Inn and included several touching readings from key guests.
The Georgian House has a picturesque courtyard, ideal for reception drinks and wedding day photographs. The day eventually gave way to night, where the happy couple had laid on a Ceilidh band to really help the party get into full swing.
